Our Venice sightseeing itinerary begins at one of the landmarks of Venice: St Mark’s Square. This amazing tour takes you through the most famous and interesting sites of Venice: Santa Maria Formosa, Campo Santi Giovanni and Paolo and then to the place where the house of Marco Polo once stood and to Teatro Malibran, directed for a short time by Carlo Goldoni. Finally our guides will take you to the main shopping street: the Mercerie.
The doge’s palace and St Marks basilica tour takes you first inside the doge’s palace, the most important Palace of Venice and one of the main landmarks of the city. Inside you can appreciate the richly decorated rooms and some of the frescoes of the most important venetian painters: Tititian, Tintoretto and Veronese. Then you’ll walk across the Bridge of Sights to arrive to the city’s terrible prisons with the "mouth of secret accusation". Then the tour takes you to St Mark square and to the St Mark’s Basilica where you’ll admire the mosaics and the Pala D’oro. The last part of the tour will bring you far from the crowds to admire a different Venice: canals, lovely small squares and much more.
